Are you seeking compassionate support to manage the emotional challenges of life transitions?
Katie Sclafani, LCSW (she/her)
I’m Katie. I support individuals navigating life’s many changes—whether that means moving through grief and loss, adjusting to new roles or relationships, or managing the stress that comes with major transitions. These moments, big or small, often bring up anxiety, uncertainty, and conflict. Together, we’ll work to find steadier ground and a greater sense of clarity.
My approach combines compassion with evidence-based care, drawing especially from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which can help you weave difficult experiences into your life story in a way that strengthens resilience while honoring who you are. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and less alone.
With years of experience as a hospital social worker, I also bring particular expertise in supporting people at the intersection of mental health and medical care. I’ve walked alongside individuals facing chronic illness, life-changing medical diagnoses, and the challenges of organ transplantation, and can combine talk therapy with the practical knowledge of the complex medical systems you have to navigate when dealing with a medical event.
No matter your circumstances, I am committed to offering warmth, respect, and practical strategies to help you address whatever life is asking of you.
